The Pirineos Roble has good concentration and a lot of color. Intense aroma, very fresh with nuances of tomato leaf, cassis, passion fruit, lime, and in general fresh fruit. The mouth is soft and juicy with high aromatic persistence in the mouth. Good integration of wood that provides complexity and sweetness. Best served at 16ºC – 18ºC.
Pasta with tomato base, roasts, duck magret, barbecues, cold meats and goat cheese or smoked.
The Pirineos Winery developed a new wine profile with the mixture of two varieties (Merlot and Syrah) and which manifests naturally in Somontano. This is a great discovery due to its originality; this specific profile has not been documented in any other wine area in Spain or in the rest of the world for this variety.
